Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Goods Receiving:
- Receive and accurately process incoming deliveries in SAP within set timelines.
- Safely store goods in the warehouse and ensure correct storage practices.
- Coordinate timely provision of stock, tinplate, and components to manufacturing areas.
- Oversee proper pallet wrapping and staging for efficient dispatch.
- Supervise forklift operators in packing and returning factory stock items to designated warehouse locations.
- Manage stock storage, rotation, and inventory accuracy.
- Handle procurement of stock components, including forecasting, ordering, and receipt in SAP.
- Review and order site consumables to minimise costs and prevent stockouts.
Goods Despatch:
- Coordinate local and interstate freight with approved suppliers for optimal customer service at the lowest cost.
- Manage customer deliveries efficiently through SAP processing.
- Arrange container freight to New Zealand, handling all necessary export documentation.
- Obtain and organize non-standard freight quotes as needed for local, interstate, and international support.
- Organise transport loads, generate necessary paperwork for outbound warehouse teams, and ensure timely dispatch of available stocks to meet customer IFOT targets.
General
- Supervise and organize warehouse team to meet operational requirements.
- Manage pallet stocks, ensuring balance with zero negative hire pallets.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of scheduled cycle counts.
- Participate in and support stocktakes, reporting any discrepancies to Inventory Manager for investigation.
- Coordinate with dispatch team leaders and inventory controllers across NCI sites for timely internal product and component transfers.
Job Specific Requirements:
- Valid Forklift license.
- Safe and efficient operator of forklift for all materials (site competence assessment)
- Excellent computer literacy including MS Office, outlook and SAP
- Cost, Quality, Safety and customer focus
- Knowledge of products, processes & their relationships
