About The Role

We are now searching for a Senior Tax Analyst to assist the Australian Tax Team in meeting tax compliance and reporting obligations for the Australian accounting group, including foreign subsidiaries and branches. The Senior Tax Analyst is responsible for the preparation of tax compliance and consulting obligations in relation to corporate income tax returns, tax effect accounting, global transfer pricing and international reporting obligations.

You will work both independently and collaboratively with the wider Finance teams and the wider business. To be successful in this role, you will require an analytical approach and can demonstrate a sound understanding of accounting and corporate tax. This role is to be based in Adelaide and will report directly into the Tax Manager.

This is a full time, permanent position.

Role Responsibilities

  • Timely and accurate preparation of the following Australian and New Zealand tax obligations
  • Corporate income tax returns and associated schedules, including documentation of key tax positions
  • Tax effect accounting calculations and associated tax notes for annual statutory reporting
  • Fringe benefits tax returns
  • Transfer pricing calculations
  • Tax journals and account reconciliations for tax sensitive GL accounts
  • Ensuring all tax payments are prepared and lodged on time
  • Assisting with the preparation of various international tax reporting requirements, including tax compliance tasks for other foreign jurisdictions
  • Assist with research, analysis and preparation of tax technical positions
  • Assist with collating information for Tax authority reviews as required
  • Assisting with any ad hoc tax and accounting related tasks, as required

What You'll Bring

  • At least 3 years experience working in corporate tax (either in professional services or industry)
  • University degree in Accounting/Law or related
  • CA or CPA qualified (or equivalent e.g. Graduate Diploma of Taxation, Masters of Tax etc)
  • Sound knowledge of Australian tax laws
  • Proficient Microsoft Excel skills
  • Flexibility with some occasional travel
  • Flexibility with out-of-business hours work when aligning to different time zones might be required
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Good planning skills and ability to prioritise
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Able to multitask
  • Aptitude for process improvement
  • Ability to think analytically
  • Problem solving capability
  • Teamwork and collaborator
