Our OpportunityWork Location: Christmas Creek - Fortescue's Christmas Creek mine operates on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people.
Roster: 7D7N14R - FIFO ex Perth, Karratha, and Broome.
Reporting to the Superintendent - Mobile Maintenance, the Supervisor - Trucks will oversee the maintenance of heavy equipment, including Caterpillar 793F haul trucks, 785D water carts, 777F service trucks, and Komatsu 930E haul trucks. This role ensures all Fortescue, contractor, and subcontractor maintenance personnel comply with HSE procedures and that mobile equipment is maintained according to OEM recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee maintenance activities to ensure compliance with Fortescue and OEM standards.
- Promote safety and compliance across all maintenance tasks for the Haul Truck & Water Cart fleet.
- Supervise and support personnel, ensuring they hold the necessary qualifications, experience, and on-site VOCs.
- Identify and implement improvements to enhance machine availability.
- Ensure all incidents and hazards are recorded and managed in BMS.
- Foster a strong safety culture and uphold Fortescue's core values in all operations.
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or similar leadership role.
- Strong background in mobile maintenance with technical expertise in mining equipment.
- Proven ability to develop and lead a safety-focused culture.
- Skilled in balancing urgent and critical tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Experience in coaching, mentoring, and training a diverse team.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with various stakeholders.
- Experience in planning and scheduling (preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.
- Knowledge of Mines Regulations, Occupational Health & Safety legislation, and other relevant industry regulations.
