Description:
Medical Receptionist - Townsville - CasualTownsville GP Superclinic is seeking a casual Medical Receptionist for our General Practice on Charters Towers Road, Hyde Par - busy Clinic, with a variety of work.
- Casual hours - 3 up to 5 shifts per week
- Good availability and flexibility
- Great customer service skills required
Mon to Fri 7.30am - 10pm (approx 7.5 to 8 hour shifts)
Sat 8am - 7pm
Sun 8am - 6pm
NB: Looking for casual staff, however if good reliability and availability shown, can consider full time arrangement, (subject to review after 3 months worked). At time of discussion will require availability then of 38 hours, with 5 days of 7 regularly rostered.
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Answering incoming calls, busy switchboard and write professional emails
- Appointment bookings and managing multiple diaries on a software system
- Meeting and greet patients
- General cleaning and rostered upkeep of practice areas including bathroom checks and tidy - follow strict infection control requirements. Stock take and daily re-stocking of supplies
- Willingness to learn, be directed and follow procedures
- Screening entering patients, in compliance with current guidelines
- Dealing with patient enquiries, delays and rescheduling, over the phone and in person, including challenging situations
- Filing, scanning, copying
- Providing support / assistance to our healthcare professionals
- Available to participate in a rotating roster, with the Clinic open 7 days (currently closed Public Holidays)
- Includes morning, afternoon, evening and rotational weekend shifts
- Approx 3 to 5 shifts / 23 to 38 hrs per week availability
- Flexibility is essential, as shifts rotate to cover opening hours in the morning, evening and weekends
- Excellent customer service skills necessary
- Good availability
- Attention to detail
- Willingness to learn on the job, with a 'can do' attitude
- Previous Healthcare industry experience preferred, if possible. Suits hospitality Reception/Admin background
- Exceptional customer service skills, with a polite manner, and empathic nature
- Enjoy a fast paced environment
- Be able to remain calm under pressure, with a positive and enthusiastic approach
- Demonstrate outstanding organisational / time management skills, with the ability to multi-task
- A commitment to on-the-job training and ongoing learning and development
- Take pride in their written and verbal communication skills
- Willing to take direction and work collaboratively as part of a Team
- Intermediate computer knowledge/skills
- Ability to show empathy towards others and a general desire to assist patients, co-workers and professionals
- Current Driver Licence essential for errands (auto work car)
- Australian citizenship or Permanent Residency necessary (Working holiday visa employment unavailable)
