The Role
This full-time Workplace Health and Safety Manager position is vital in advancing safety initiatives across various operational sites. Reporting to the National HR, WHS, and Training Manager, you will have one direct report who is a Safety Advisor and you will be responsible for the creation and execution of safety programs, ensuring alignment with the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 and the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988. The role requires a hands-on approach to building a robust safety culture and meeting organizational goals through responsibilities such as:

Managing incident investigations, risk assessments, and the safety management system

Coordinating injury management, rehabilitation, and return-to-work programs

Offering expert WHS guidance to management and maintaining consistent safety practices

Developing reporting systems to monitor injuries, incidents, and safety trends

Leading audits and training initiatives to enhance safety awareness
The Candidate
The successful candidate will hold a Diploma in Workplace Health and Safety, a Return to Work Coordinator Certificate (Advanced preferred), and a minimum of three years' experience in a safety leadership role. You will bring a solid grasp of WHS legislation and a skill set that includes:
