THE ROLE
Lead, plan, direct and control the design and construction of major transmission line and substation infrastructure projects, through assigned team members. Responsible for the successful completion of the project, in accordance with Zero Harm objectives, client requirements, quality, time and costs constraints to achieve profit objectives.
• Project Leadership & Governance – Oversee project setup, execution, and governance compliance while ensuring timely reporting on performance.
• Team Management & Communication – Provide leadership, guidance, and support to direct reports across multiple departments to maintain collaboration and efficiency.
• Zero Harm & Compliance – Champion safety, quality, and environmental standards, ensuring adherence to industry regulations and company policies.
• Financial & Cost Managem ent – Monitor project costs, forecasts, and budgets, taking corrective action to maintain financial targets and business objectives.
• Client & Stakeholder Engagement – Build and maintain strong client relationships, negotiate work contracts, and develop business growth opportunities.
• People & Culture Development – Lead resource planning, performance management, and succession planning to foster a skilled and engaged workforce.
ABOUT YOU
• 15 years’ experience in the engineering and/or construction industry.
• 5 years’ experience in a similar position managing major projects (over $500m)
• Solid understanding and demonstration of successful Project Directorship and Project Management skills
• Management experience (general and operational) with capability to develop strategic / business / project plans and delivery responsibility
• A good understanding of, and experience with, the business challenges impacting upon business in different life cycles (e.g. expanding, mature, declining or new market)
• Experience in researching, analysing and understanding complex information to develop and implement business solutions
