The Financial Reporting team is responsible for Group and subsidiary statutory reporting, finance operations, fund accounting, treasury accounting and policy and technical advisory services.
About the opportunity
As the Manager Finance Operation s and reporting to the Senior Manager Finance Operations you are responsible for providing financial accounting and statutory reporting services for the Group and its key subsidiaries.
You’ll get to:

  • Lead, mentor, motivate a small team and enable a high-performance environment to ensure team deliverables are met
  • Oversee finance operational functions including the coordination and completion of subsidiary financial statements and reports
  • Ensure transactions and management of appropriate records across the Group and Subsidiary general ledgers are delivered within expected time frames
  • Develop and manage strong relationships with a range of stakeholders including CFO, Group External Auditors, Corporate Secretariat, Group Finance and Subsidiary Boards
  • Initiate and implement ongoing continuous improvement initiatives to ensure operational excellence

This is a permanent full-time opportunity ideally based at one of our corporate offices in Bendigo, Melbourne or Adelaide. We offer a flexible hybrid model that includes a minimum of 2 days per week in the office and from mid-2025 a minimum 3 days per week in the office.
About you
To be successful in the role you will have:

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
  • CPA, ICCAANZ or other professional accounting accreditation ideal but not mandatory
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of accounting standards, regulations related to statutory reporting and in the preparation of statutory accounts
  • Demonstrated leadership experience including mentoring and motivating a small to mid-size team and fostering a high performing team culture
  • Highly effective communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Strong time management, report writing and problems solving skills
