The Opportunity
- Financial Planning System Analyst
- 18 Month Fixed Term Contract – Full time
- Hybrid work - Work 2 days in the office
Reporting to Head of Advice Solutions & Innovation, this is an exciting opportunity to provide strategic system and business analysis and support to TelstraSuper Financial Planning business. This role involves working cross-functional to understand business strategies, processes, and technology ecosystems. The successful candidate will support the advice technology operations, drive the development and delivery of solutions for Financial Planning systems, optimise efficiency, and meet business and employee expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Analysis: Provide in-depth analysis of business strategies, processes, and technology ecosystems to identify root cause, system capabilities needed to address business challenges
- Financial Planning Technology: Support the operation, conversion, incident management, upgrade, and enhancement of core Financial Planning technology to facilitate ongoing business operations and innovation
- Project Management: Lead small to medium projects and assist on larger projects, ensuring efficient delivery of project tasks and milestones
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a primary contact for business queries and projects, identifying and resolving escalated issues
- Documentation and Testing: Document user stories, change activities, impact assessments, and conduct UAT testing for system changes and enhancements
- Data Management: Understand data points and prepare reports as required; conduct fee and revenue investigations, manage exceptions, and resolve discrepancies
- Digital & Technology Development: Drive digital and technology development to improve client experience, uplift efficiency, and reduce risk
- Subject Matter Expertise: Act as a subject matter expert to identify, analyse, resolve incidents, and deliver technology-enabled solutions
- Collaboration: Collaborate with Financial Planning leadership, Technology, Customer Experience, Risk & Compliance, and Legal teams on product development
- Training and Support: Develop technology-based training programs and lead Hypercare support as required
- Change Management: Undertake change management functions such as impact assessments, project communications, and stakeholder presentations.
About You
The successful candidate for the Financial Planning System Analyst role will be a collaborative and independent professional with over 3 years of experience in technology analysis or advice system support, with a deep understanding of Financial Planning process, software systems such as Midwinter or Xplan.
The candidate should possess excellent project management, communication, and analytical skills, with experience in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid environments, and proficiency in system change management and training. Exposure to back-end system configuration, such as building workflows, testing and reports, is desirable. Strong organisational, precision and time management skills, along with the ability to lead meetings and present to diverse audiences, are also essential.
Additionally, you have:
- Relevant certifications like AGILE Product Owner or Business Analyst qualifications.
- Practical and proficient advice system support experience, and have previously worked with Midwinter before
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
