About The Role

As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, you’ll contribute to the success of the firm by working closely with internal stakeholders, IT and vendors to understand current application needs and constraints, document business requirements, assist in application comparison, development and testing of solutions, and assist with application implementations, enhancements, upgrades and transitions.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Understanding the needs of the business through stakeholder meetings, both one on one and leading the facilitation of workshops
  • Effective business requirements gathering by analysing and documenting business processes, through process mapping, writing user stories and developing acceptance criteria
  • Comparison of business requirements for different application solutions to determine best fit
  • Assist in the business system selection process by using identified business requirements to understand the needs of the business and comparing to proposed solutions to be able to provide a recommendation
  • Identifying risks, issues and benefits of existing and proposed solutions and outlining business impacts
  • Proactively identifying opportunities for improvements to existing applications
  • Undertaking planning and execution of enhancements, implementation, transition and decommissioning of applications
  • Investigation of application issues and managing resolution

You’ll Ideally Have The Following Skills And Experience

  • Demonstrated ability in business requirements capture and analysis, process modelling through to requirements testing, preferably within a financial services environment
  • Ability to gather and investigate information from a variety of sources, explore new ideas and different viewpoints
  • Strong experience engaging stakeholders at all levels and eliciting key information
  • Experience performing requirements analysis to extract, develop, validate and document business requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to express ideas logically across all audience levels
  • Experience with business reform/transformation and enabling change projects/programs
  • A high-level of motivation and demonstrable ability to proactively solve complex problems and deliver high quality solutions under tight timelines
  • Experience in delivering a range of IT and application projects
  • Experience in working with vendors
