The role:

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for financial transformation? This is your chance to drive meaningful change in a large-scale enterprise project! We’re seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to help implement a modern Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting system within a leading utilities provider in Adelaide (initial 8 month contract).

About the Role

You’ll be a key player in streamlining financial processes, reducing manual data entry, and integrating financial reporting with a data platform to enable informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse and document existing financial processes to identify inefficiencies.

• Work with key stakeholders to define reporting and integration requirements.

• Facilitate workshops to capture needs, streamline processes, and drive automation.

• Ensure the new financial system integrates seamlessly with the data platform.

• Deliver business cases, operational handover support, and post-implementation analysis.

About You:

We’re looking for someone with:

• Strong experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within finance or enterprise systems.

• Proven ability to work with finance teams to improve budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

• Excellent stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills.

• Desirable: Experience in financial reporting, utilities, or mining sectors.

• Strong understanding of process automation and data-driven decision-making.

• Strong data analysis skills, including Excel proficiency

• Ability to communicate technical concepts in an easy-to-understand manner

• Experience in process improvement methodologies (Lean, Agile)

• Background in utilities, mining, or related industries (desirable)

• Note: this role requires a start of 28th April or immediately thereafter
