The opportunity
LiveBetter is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join as a key member within their executive leadership team. This pivotal role will lead the operational delivery of LiveBetter’s services, driving the growth and expansion of high-quality, sustainable, and customer-focused service delivery across multiple programs.
Additionally, the COO will provide strategic leadership to a highly experienced team of General Managers, fostering a high-performance culture and growth mindset, while driving continuous improvement and operational efficiencies. Additionally, they will play a key role in governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
Reporting to the CEO and leading a team of General Managers the COO will;
- Oversee the seamless and customer-focused delivery of all operational services.
- Lead and motivate General Managers across Accommodation, In-Home Support, Community Services, and Operational Excellence.
- Drive strategic growth and operational improvements in collaboration with the CEO and executive team.
- Strengthen relationships with funding bodies, regulators, and key service partners to support service expansion and ensure LiveBetter’s services align to the needs of the communities we serve.
About you
As a strategic partner to the CEO, the COO will drive growth, innovation, commercial sustainability, and service excellence, ensuring LiveBetter’s continued success in delivering high-quality community services across regional and remote areas. With deep experience in disability, aged care, child, youth & family, or community services, you bring strong commercial acumen and a demonstrated ability to lead change in a complex, regulated environment.
Additionally, as the successful candidate for this role, you will bring;
- 10+ years leadership experience in a complex service delivery environment.
- Proven ability to drive strategic, financial, and risk management initiatives that balance commercial sustainability with service quality.
- Expertise in quality, risk management, and regulatory compliance, with a strong understanding of safeguarding practices.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills to engage with funding bodies, regulators, and key partners.
- A tertiary qualification in business, management, or a related field.
