We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join a dynamic and growing team in the inner northern suburbs of Brisbane. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a small, tight-knit office environment that offers a high level of autonomy and collaboration. Our client is a prominent asset management firm, specialising in Australian agricultural investments for institutional investors, with a focus on delivering strong financial, environmental and social outcomes.About the Role:
In this role, you will play a key part in the financial operations of the business, providing critical insights that support decision-making and ensure the smooth running of financial processes. You will be responsible for managing various financial functions, including payroll, compliance and investor reporting, all while ensuring governance and maintaining robust internal controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets and forecasts;
- Overseeing the end-to-end payroll process, tax compliance and investor reporting;
- Monitoring cash flow, managing risk and ensuring strong internal controls;
- Collaborating with the leadership team to enhance operational and financial efficiencies; and
- Assisting with strategic planning and driving process automation within the financial function.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a CA / CPA qualification;
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial accounting;
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, reporting and compliance;
- Exceptional communication, analytical and problem-solving skills; and
- A keen interest in agriculture, though prior experience is not required, will be highly regarded.
