As a key member of the Financial Reporting team, the Senior Financial Accountant will play a crucial role in supporting the financial reporting function. Working closely with the Financial Reporting Manager to deliver accurate and timely results to various stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and driven professional to join a high-performing team.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Prepare monthly consolidated roll-forward reconciliations of various balance sheet items
- Manage and maintain lease module in Oracle
- Assist in compilation of monthly financial reports covering balance sheet, profit and loss, internal management reports and shareholder templates
- Prepare quarterly financial and headcount schedules
- Prepare, review and lodge BAS
- Assist with payroll accruals (annual leave, long service etc.)
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Utilise financial systems to extract data, analyse information, including variance analysis
- Assist with Statutory Reporting– preparation of the annual Consolidated and Subsidiary Financial Statements as appropriate including disclosure notes, and preparation of quarterly consolidated accounts for banks
- Liaise with external auditors and various shareholders
- Ad-hoc queries
- Identify and implement standardised process improvements
- Actively ensure own health and safety and the health and safety of others through understanding and implementing workplace health and safety obligations
- Support and comply with Company policies and procedures as advised and documented in the Company’s employment policies as amended from time to time and as directed by Managers/Supervisors

Qualifications and Experience
- 5-7 years post graduate experience, experience in a Chartered Accounting firm preferable but not essential
- High level of personal motivation and drive
- Strong grasp of accounting concepts, ethics, and international accounting standards
- Experience with consolidated group management reporting and cross-border accounting preferred but not essential
- Experience using Oracle ERP
- Computer literacy including extensive experience with MS Word, Excel and other desktop software packages essential
- Formal qualifications at degree level in a relevant discipline together with membership of a recognised accounting body essential
