THE ROLE
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this is a hands-on Senior Financial Accountant role where you will play a key part in driving financial accuracy, compliance, and process efficiencies. This position will be pivotal in streamlining financial processes, ensuring robust internal controls, and supporting key commercial decisions. While the role does not initially include direct reports, there is a clear pathway to leadership for the right candidate.
Key responsibilities include:
- Month-end financial reporting, general ledger reviews & reconciliations
- Preparation of budgets & forecasts alongside FP&A teams
- Tax compliance including BAS, FBT & payroll tax
- Managing internal & external audits
- Overseeing customer rebate & incentive accruals
- Driving process improvements & system efficiencies
- Business partnering with internal stakeholders to support commercial decision-making
- Oversight of AP & AR functions, working closely with offshore shared services
THE CANDIDATE
We’re looking for a proactive, results-driven Senior Financial Accountant with a passion for process improvement and commercial finance. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy taking ownership of financial operations, identifying efficiencies, and implementing change.
To be successful, you will have:
- CPA/CA qualification
- Solid experience in a similar financial accounting role within multinational FMCG, manufacturing, or wholesale industries
- Strong technical accounting knowledge & compliance experience
- Advanced Excel skills (experience with large data sets & reconciliations)
- Proven ability to partner with senior stakeholders & drive financial insights
- Experience working with high transaction volumes in a complex, commercial environment
- A ‘can-do’ attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving
