The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this Senior Financial Accountant position is focused on a reconciliations project with an initial 3-4 month contract, expected to be ongoing. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Leading balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations for the project
- Ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial reporting using SAP
- Supporting month-end close processes and resolving discrepancies
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline reconciliation processes
- Assisting with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in financial accounting and reconciliations, with experience in a similar project-based role. You will also possess the following:
- CA/CPA qualification (completed or nearing completion)
- Minimum 5+ years' experience in financial accounting, ideally with project reconciliation exposure
- Hands-on experience with SAP is essential
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
- First or second move from Big 4/mid-tier firm or experience in a large corporate environment highly regarded
