  • Be You: Bring your authentic self to work in a diverse, inclusive family, with genuine care and commitment.

  • Balanced Work life: This role can be done fully remote – yes, really!

  • Flex Your Schedule: Seriously, you get to set your work schedule to fit your lifestyle. This role can be done with flexible hours , depending on what works for you!

What’s the Role?

In this newly created role as an Employee Relations Advisor , you’ll provide guidance on workplace policies, employee relations, and performance management to our amazing field teams working directly with our Area Managers (AMs), with lean in support from People Partners. You will be part of our People & Culture team, reporting to our Head of People Partnering to drive our ER strategy. This role will cover one of our Nandoca’s (that’s what we call our staff) on parental leave, so guess what? You get to join us on a seven month contract.

Your mission? To help our Nandocas thrive in a people-first environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Solve with Heart: Oversee ANZ ER escalations relating to our people matters and support an ER framework to provide guidance and education.

  • Support our Leaders: Align our Nando’s policies and procedures with legislative needs while providing fair processes to all our Nandoca’s.

  • Coach & Support: Identify opportunities for training and upskilling, via e-learning modules, virtual workshops and one on one coaching.

  • Level Up : Develop and implement tools and templates to address ANZ needs.

  • Provide Expert Advice: On awards, system and legislative changes to the broader team.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Knowledge of Australian Employee Relations legislation and (ideally) the NZ legislative framework.

  • Degree in HR or related discipline.

  • Previous experience in Employee Relations case management in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience and confidence to take charge in leading workplace investigations.

  • A collaborative, positive attitude and a spark of entrepreneurial spirit to develop and implement pro-active ER strategies that foster a positive environment.

  • Flexibility in approach to pivot where needed to support both regional activities and broader People and Culture initiatives.

  • Strong communication skills to connect, guide, and influence at all levels.

  • A team mindset and a love for our values: Pride, Passion, Courage, Integrity, and Family.

The Boring (but Important) Stuff:

This is a 7 month parental leave contract starting from May 2025 and will run through to January 2026. The best part is that the role can be performed from anywhere, fully remotely , or if in Melbourne , from our state of the art purpose built office.

Life’s busy—we get it! That’s why we offer fully flexible hours to work around you and your lifestyle. Seeking part time, reduced hours, sure thing!

Only applicants with the right to work in Australia or New Zealand will be considered.

Ready to Fire It Up? Be yourself, make a real impact, and have fun while doing it. Apply now to join the Nando’s family!
