About the Role
The Early Childhood Practitioner is responsible for working alongside families with children aged 0 – 9, who have developmental concerns, developmental delay or a diagnosed disability, to provide information and access to early childhood early intervention supports.
The Early Childhood Practitioner works with families to;
· Create a developmental profile for their child using strengths-based approaches
· Identify and develop goals/priorities for their child that supports participation and inclusion
· Provide information to parents/carers about their child’s development
· Where a child meets the developmental delay criteria, navigate NDIS access for longer term funded early intervention supports,
· Be a part of a small project team developing and delivering community-based, family centred early intervention services to children (under 6 years old) and their families who do not have access to NDIS funding.
· Provide clinical support to our early childhood teams in the delivery of our Early Supports Program.
The Early Childhood Practitioner will be a specialist with an Allied Health background and qualification (Speech Pathology or Occupational Therapy), providing expertise and experience in early childhood development. The Early Childhood Practitioner will be aware of and able to guide others in providing supports in line with the ECIA best practice guidelines.
Supervision and professional development opportunities will be available for the successful incumbent.
This is a full time role (part time considered) with a fixed term of 12 months and can be based in either our Echuca, Bendigo or Gisborne offices , or alternatively the ability to work remotely is open for negotiation.

The role has been classified under the Health Professionals Award as a Level 1.3 with an annual starting salary of $89, 591.84 (pro rata) + Superannuation + Salary Packaging.
