The Role:
An exciting and rewarding opportunity exists for a passionate Chef / Cook to provide culinary services to patients, visitors, and medical personnel at Northern Health's Kilmore District Hospital (KDH).
It will be your duty to prepare and cook meals as per the menu and recipes provided for every patient and resident at KDH. You will also be assisting the Food Services Manager with daily orders and any other duties that arise.
Additionally, but not exclusively, you will be in charge of:
- Food preparation, service, delivery and collection
- Participate in menu planning and special events
- Ensure a positive work culture exists across the kitchen
- Maintain high standards, in all aspects of the business
About you:
- Experience and good working knowledge of Bulk Cooking in the healthcare Sector and Aged care sector
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements
- Proven ability to work with both patients and aged care residents
- Work as a team member, able to prioritise and adapt to various ways of supporting residents.
- Proven ability to work in a team environment and lead the Food Services team when required
- Previous managerial experience would be bonus
- Must have proven experience in food stock ordering, in an online capacity.
- Must be available 7 days per week, weekends and Public holidays
