Description:
Tri Swimming Swim School is a small swim school in Geelong West providing Learn to Swim classes for babies to late primary school ages.
We are looking for an enthusiastic qualified Swim teacher to join our team to deliver effective, engaging and enjoyable swimming lessons to preschool/school aged children during the week and possible Saturday mornings.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching swim lessons to babies and infants in parent assisted classes. This is a casual role with rostered hours but also opportunities for extra shifts both permanent and emergency shifts.
Job tasks and responsibilities :
- plan and deliver swimming lessons according to established guidelines and progressions
- ensure safety of all swimmers during lessons
- impart to your swimmers the joy of being confident in the water
- maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress
- work closely with our team to ensure the smooth consistent running of the swim program.

Qualifications:
- To be considered for this role candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Current CPR certification
- Working With Children Check
- Industry qualifications: AUSTSWIM or ASCTA.
Skills and experience:
- previous teaching expeience in Learn to Swim programs preferred
- open to new ideas and willingness to develop skills
- excellent communication skills
- patience and adaptability
- ability to build positive relationships with students, parents/guardians and colleagues
- good time management skills
Availability requirments:
Afternoon/evenings/Saturday mornings
