As a Casual Chef you’ll be part of an experienced, engaged and dedicated team helping to create a welcoming, professional and supportive care experience for the residents of St Vincent’s Care Services Edgecliff.
St Vincent's Care Services Edgecliff is just 4km east of Sydney's city centre. Our small but homey 39 bed facility is located in a tranquil, leafy suburb within walking distance of public transport.
In this role you will bring your strong cooking skills and passion for your profession to create our residents a fine dining experience that is second to none! Delivering multiple courses, elegant dishes and planning a variety of menus this is your opportunity to show your creative flair whilst working alongside a highly experienced team in a dynamic setting which is redefining the expectations of aged care.

Things that work for us:

Trade qualification in Commercial cooking and current FSS Certificate (Food Safety Supervisor)
-
Previous experience cooking in an aged care facility with texture modified foods and fluids
-
Over 5 years experience, including managerial/Chef experience running a kitchen.

Flexibility to work AM or PM shifts across the week on Casual basis.

Understanding of and compliance with food safety hygiene standards.

High level of customer service skills, attention to detail and excellent communication skills
-
Flexibility to manage special dietary requirements and follow directives as per care plan.

Ensure compliance with food safety hygiene standards and maintain a safe environment for residents and staff.

Capacity to work in a multidisciplinary team and willingness to assist wherever needed e.g. cleaning tasks.

Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (within the last 6 months).

NDIS Worker Screening Check may be a requirement of this role.
