THE COMPANY

We are excited to be partnering with a renowned non-profit that champions the rights and opportunities of people with disabilities. With a national presence and a strong commitment to innovation, safeguarding, and community support, this organisation plays a critical role in empowering individuals to live more independent and fulfilling lives.
As the organisation continues to grow, so does its focus on strengthening its Employee Relations (ER) function. This newly elevated Employee Relations Specialist role has been created to provide high-level ER expertise and strategic support. If you're looking for an opportunity to take ownership of complex ER cases and make a meaningful impact, this could be the perfect next step in your career.
THE ROLE

As a key member of the People and Wellbeing team, you will play an essential role in shaping the organisation’s ER approach. Reporting to the Employee Relations Manager, you will take ownership of complex and high-risk ER cases from start to finish, including investigations, terminations, performance management, and disciplinary processes.
Your work will be critical in ensuring compliance, mitigating risk, and fostering a fair and well-supported workplace. With dedicated administrative support for tasks such as letter drafting, you’ll be able to focus on what you do best—managing intricate cases, navigating external investigations, and providing strategic, high-impact ER advice to senior leaders.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into an influential role where you’ll not only resolve challenging ER matters but also contribute to strengthening ER capability and embedding best-practice processes across the organisation.
DUTIES
  • Manage ER cases from start to finish, including misconduct, performance management, external investigations, and disciplinary matters.
  • Provide clear, strategic advice to leaders on legislation, compliance, and best-practice employee relations strategies.
  • Support a high-risk environment—decisions in this organisation often have real impacts on vulnerable individuals, making risk assessment critical.
  • Work closely with the ER Manager and wider P&C function to elevate ER capability across the business.

Or perhaps you come from a completely different industry but possess a collaborative approach, a keen eye for detail, and robust experience with employee relations, industrial relations, awards, and workplace legislation? If so, you could be the perfect fit for this role. We are seeking a dedicated Employee Relations Advisor who excels in dynamic environments and is committed to upholding the highest standards of employee relations practices.
  • Strong experience managing complex ER cases, performance management, and investigations from start to finish.

  • Experience in a high-risk industry such as health, disability, NFP, healthcare, aged care, or another regulated sector is highly desirable.
