The Role
Reporting to the Internal Sales Manager, this position is responsible for the support of, and to assist in, the efficient operation of the company in accordance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. This position is primarily designed for the delivery of sales functions that support the company strategy in achieving key business outcomes.
Responsibilities may include but not limited to:
- Execute sales related enquiries, quotations, order processing and control measures to ensure the company meets both internal and external customer requirements in relation to quality, service performance and accuracy of supply
- Strong and timely utilisation of the company CRM system, maintaining a high level of data accuracy
- Execute all sales order processes including, but not limited to: preparation of quotations, acceptance of purchase orders, data entry into system database, logistics, and customer receipt
- Execute purchase order processes including, but not limited to: preparation of purchase orders, active sourcing of products and/or services, management of back orders and expediting reports
- Working with the Internal Sales Manager to monitor suppliers to ensure quality, legislative compliance and performance standards reflect our company and customer requirements in the procurement of goods and engagement of services
- Provide a point of contact for issues related to customer service and support necessary to meet customer expectations and see through to a mutually beneficial resolution
- Maintain a strategic partnership with prospective and trading customers, working collaboratively to continually improve the service offering and exceed requirements
- Maintain accurate records for easy retrieval of procurement, sales, quality and communication documentation
- Communicate with management on sales and procurement matters
- Assist the business in meeting or exceeding predetermined sales revenue and margin targets
- Participate and contribute meaningful intel pertaining to customers, pipeline, forecasts and strategy at sales meetings
- Contribute to continuous improvement across all sales functions
