An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join us. In this position you will partner with a diverse range of operational support teams and research themes across the institute to provide a high level of HR support and work strategically with SAHMRI’s People Leaders to develop talent across the organisation. The ability to work dynamically and build strong, collaborative working relationships with SAHMRI’s research themes and leaders will be key to success in this role. About the Role

From onboarding to offboarding and everything in between, you will oversee some key areas of the business assisting them with all their HR requirements.You will be working closely with managers and employees on industrial relations, performance management, recruitment, HR systems and much more. As well as exceeding at BAU there will be opportunities to be involved with ongoing projects to achieve excellence for 2025 and beyond. About You

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources (or equivalent)
  • At least 3 years’ experience in human resources within a complex organisational structure
  • Experience using information technology systems and software
  • Demonstrated data analysis experience and an understanding of how to use data to explain and tell the story
  • Sound knowledge of the requirements of the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards and Modern Awards
  • Creative problem-solving skills with ability to devise practical solutions for complex issues
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop strong working relationships with people at all levels of the organisation and excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills including coaching, negotiating and influencing
  • Highly ethical and confidential

Special Requirements

  • Some out of hours’ work may be required.
  • DCSI Employment screening will be required.
  • Regular metropolitan travel to SAHMRI’s various worksites may be required.
