Overview
The Client Services Officer Patient Assistance Transport Scheme (PATS) is responsible for providing an efficient and effective service to clients eligible for financial assistance through the scheme. They are responsible for examining applications against eligibility criteria and statewide Policy, resulting in provision of calculated subsidies to patients and third-party provider organisations within their financial delegations.
This position is required to interact with other regional PATS officers to provide a comprehensive subsidy payment service to regional South Australian patients needing to travel for approved medical specialist treatment and metropolitan patients needing to travel interstate to access specialist care not available within South Australia.
Client Service Officers are responsible for provision of high-level client services and advice to all patients and stakeholders in a timely and educative manner and is responsible for administering advance payments to patients and supporting the review of pre-approval requests with over 140 third party providers on behalf of the patient.
The Client Service Officer is required to complete large volumes of work and deal with competing deadlines.
