About the Role :
As the Software Configuration Analyst Associate, you will develop and control the software build and release management process, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and secure deployments.
In this role, you will:
- Maintain standards and practices for Branch Management, Product Versioning, Source Control Management and Release Management
- Assist with the development and implementation of release strategies that align with best practices
- Create Software builds and associated documentation
- Leverage CI/CD tools to automate creation, testing and deployment of software releases
- Utilise tools such as JIRA and GitLab to manage software files and track software changes through the Software Release process
- Maintain accurate documentation for environment configurations, processes, and procedures
- Maintain for inventory and control of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) and Licensing and entry into the COTS/FOSS library
- Support configuration audit activities
- Work with developers to identify, debug, and resolve software configuration management issues
About you :
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Qualification in a related discipline from a recognised institution, or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of and exposure to Version Control and Repository Management tools such as GitLab and Nexus
- Knowledge of and exposure to CI/CD tools such as Gitlab
- Understanding of the build and release management process within a development environment
- Understanding of Agile Software Development
- Good communication skills including writing to, speaking with and listening to the Customer
- Eligibility to obtain Australian Defence NV1 Security Clearance
- Ability to access/handle Export Controlled technology, data and information
This is an entry-level role, and comprehensive training will be provided to the successful candidate.
