Do you have a knack for ensuring timely debt collection, processing financial transactions, and maintaining accurate records? At Heatleys, we are looking for an Accounts Receivable Officer who excels in managing debtor relationships, resolving queries, and contributing to the financial success of our business.

Purpose of the Role:

As an Accounts Receivable Officer, you will be instrumental in supporting Heatleys’ financial strategies by ensuring the efficient collection, processing, and reporting of debtor information. Your role will be crucial in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the Debtors Ledger, directly influencing our management’s decision-making process.

Key Responsibilities:

Debtor Monitoring and Collection: Proactively monitor, report, and collect outstanding debts, ensuring all payments are received on time.

Query Resolution: Review the debtors listing for outstanding items, promptly identify discrepancies, and work closely with debtors and company staff to resolve issues, maintaining a smooth accounts receivable process.

Credit Note and Payment Processing: Efficiently process credit notes and debtor payments, accurately allocating and receipting them into the Heatleys ERP system, ensuring all transactions are handled with precision.

Shared Inbox Management: Organise, action, and maintain the shared Accounts Receivable inbox, ensuring all communications are filed and actioned accurately and in a timely manner.

Credit Application Processing: Process new debtor credit applications swiftly and accurately, meeting target times to support smooth onboarding.

Reporting: Prepare and present weekly and month-end reports, providing valuable insights into the status of accounts receivable and contributing to informed business decisions.

Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external customers, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration.

Capabilities and Experience:

Organisational Skills: Exceptional ability to prioritise tasks and manage workloads under pressure, ensuring all responsibilities are completed accurately and on time.

Team Collaboration: A strong team player who can work well in a close-knit environment, offering support and maintaining effective communication with colleagues.

Technical Proficiency: Basic to intermediate proficiency in Excel and Outlook, with a commitment to continuous improvement in your technical skillset.

Independence and Supervision: Capable of working independently while also being responsive to supervision and guidance when needed.

Attention to Detail: A strong work ethic with keen attention to detail and problem-solving skills, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of your role.
