About The Team
The Exams and Assessment Office is responsible for the administration of exams for all standard teaching periods across all campuses; encompassing the preparation of exam timetables, organisation of on-campus, digital, external, alternative, and transnational exams, and the administration of the Deferred Assessment process for students who cannot attend an exam due to illness or exceptional circumstances
Your New Role!
This is an exciting opportunity to play a part in the future of digital exams at Murdoch University! You will be responsible for supporting exam-related projects and administering exams with a focus on digital exams during standard assessment periods in accordance with University policy.
Your key responsibilities will include a mix of project coordination and exam facilitation; outlined below -

  • Participating in and providing support in the development of project plans, including defining project scope, objectives and timelines.
  • Administrative support in organising and participating in project meetings, preparing necessary materials, documenting minutes and following up on action items.
  • Maintain detailed project schedules, coordinate project tasks to ensure successful completion.
  • Evaluate project implementation to ensure it meets requirements and identify opportunities for process and system improvement.
  • Leverage expertise in digital learning systems and related technologies to facilitate the effective and seamless delivery of digital exams, both online and on-campus.
  • Act as a key point of contact for academic staff from designated schools to manage the submission of exam requirements.
  • Review exams submitted by the unit coordinators to ensure compliance with exam requirement and instructions.
  • Coordinate and manage the exam process for designated cohorts.

This Continuous | Full Time (37.5 hours per week) position attracts a remuneration of $77,000 - $94,000 per annum plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.

Selection Criteria:

  • Completion of a degree with subsequent work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Proven ability to use initiative and take responsibility for tasks and projects.
  • Advanced computer literacy and proficiency in learning management systems, Microsoft Office applications, and specified University software programs, with the capability to learn new packages.
  • Highly effective communication, customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with staff at all levels.

Please note, the successful candidate will be required to work during exam periods, including on the first Saturday of said period.
