Do you have a knack for transforming data into strategic insights? If so, RMIT’s Market Intelligence & Propositions (MIP) team is looking for you to join as a Product Performance and Innovation Manager.

In this role, you'll be part of a dynamic team responsible for shaping RMIT’s educational offerings. We're seeking someone who can analyse organisational and market data to derive insights that boost value for RMIT, our students, and the broader community. Your ability to craft narratives from data will be crucial.

You'll work independently on projects from internal clients and engage in regular product performance reporting. Your expertise in consulting, stakeholder management, and relationship building will drive the innovations that position RMIT at the forefront of education.

To be successful in this position, you’ll have:

  • Proven experience in an analytical, strategic consulting and advisory position in a large and complex organisation.

  • Proven experience in proposition development and preferably product innovation.

  • Demonstrated ability to consult and interact effectively with all levels of the organisation and develop strong business partnerships internally.

  • Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a supporting fashion or as a project lead for cross-functional groups.

  • Strong analytics and insight capability with proven ability to complete independent analyse and interpret a wide range of information.

  • Strong problem-solving capability and commercial judgement with high motivation and a passion for excellent outcomes.

The following is desirable and will be highly regarded:

  • Product development and/or product management experience within the education sector, preferably with educational offerings e.g. courses, skills training etc will be high regarded.

  • Some knowledge and understanding of curriculum design

  • Knowledge and understanding of the higher education and/or vocational education sector in Australia, the data sets employed in the sector, the market and competitor activity.

  • Some knowledge and understanding of market research methodologies and management of or market research projects.

The Experience function within International & Engagement (I&E) is responsible for Global Marketing, Student Recruitment and Admissions, Market Intelligence and Propositions, Alumni, Digital and Experience. The function strives to provide the best possible experience for prospective students across all our markets — domestic, international (onshore & offshore). They are the custodians of our brand, they engage our audiences from prospect through to student, alumni and beyond, and they drive our externally facing digital channels, while ensuring that our proposition meets the needs of our audiences and achieves the University objectives.
