About The Position
The Selection Officer, part of the Selection and Admissions team within the College of Design and Social Context (DSC), manages prospective student applications for programs across DSC’s nine schools.
The Selection Officer assesses applications for admission to DSC coursework programs for VTAC, direct, RMIT Online, and offshore applicants, ensuring adherence to the University Admissions and Credit policy and program entry requirements. The role ensures efficient application processing, provides customer service to prospective students, and handles enquiries across multiple channels. The Selection Officer contributes to the effective operation of the team and participates in continuous improvement and development initiatives.
To be successful in this position, you’ll have:

Demonstrated experience and expertise in the provision of high-quality administration services, including a sound knowledge of relevant policies and procedures.

Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to investigate and make informed decisions regarding complex issues.

Demonstrated skills in managing time, setting priorities, planning and organising workloads.
-
Well-developed interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills, including ability to tailor communication styles to diverse audiences.

Relevant experience in a University environment (desirable).
