The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Advisor & Administrator to provide a critical role within Technology Solutions and Data Security.
About the Business Unit
The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) delivers a justice and community safety system that works to build a safer, fairer and stronger Victoria.
Technology Solutions and Data Security focuses on meeting the departments data and digital needs by providing responsive and sustainable services focused on supporting departmental outcomes.
Technology Solutions and Data Security explores and employs technology to enable the department's business to function via the use of modern, appropriate platforms, products and services. It supports enterprise-wide platforms and services including critical applications, networks, telecommunication, call centres, hosting, intranet/internet sites; delivers business and corporate funded project; and oversees the delivering of services provided by technology service providers such as Cenitex.
About the Role
The role of a Senior Technical Advisor & Administrator (Jira and Confluence) is to:
* Manage and maintain Jira software, ensuring optimal performance and up-to-date configurations.
* Administer Confluence software, ensuring efficient performance and current configurations.
* Assist with general project management support tasks including task tracking, following up actions, coordinating resources, providing resource support, scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and coordinating travel arrangements

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Proven experience and proficiency in Jira and Confluence administration.
* Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g. Groovy) and plugins (e.g. ScriptRunner) is a plus.
* Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field is desirable.
* Prior experience in a general technical administrative support role is highly desirable.
