About the Role:
Seeking expression of interest from candidates to join Victoria University’s Academic Sessional Talent Pool to teach within our Bachelor of Psychological Studies degree within VU's First Year College®.
As a Sessional Academic you will have the opportunity to teach within our VU First Year College®, who offer a unique learning experience designed specifically for first year students. VU’s First Year College® is looking to increase their pool of qualified people to teach into our Bachelor Psychological studies degree.
You must hold current psychology registration and a Master's or doctoral degree in the Psychological studies field is highly desirable. Evidence of substantial and current knowledge of discipline/field of study.
You will engage in our renowned VU Block Model®, where one unit is taught at a time. This allows you to teach in small groups and provides you with an opportunity to engage with and get to know your students. Each appointment will be for a block of 4 weeks of teaching.
About You:
- Preferable that you hold a Bachelor/ Masters degree or are working towards this in Pscyhology or a closely related field.
- Applicants with relevant industry experience are highly encouraged to apply.
- Previous teaching experience at the tertiary level gives you an advantage.
- You must have strong communication and interpersonal skills; committed to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- You are a dynamic and passionate educator willing to contribute to the delivery of high-quality education in higher education nursing and midwifery programs.
