About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Childcare Centre Director to lead our new centre in Healesville. This is an incredible opportunity for a dedicated professional to establish and shape the culture of a brand-new centre, ensuring excellence in education, care, compliance, and team management. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the centre’s operations, including staff leadership, enrolments, financial performance, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management : Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of educators to deliver high-quality early childhood education and care.
Compliance & Quality Assurance : Ensure the centre operates in accordance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), and all relevant regulations.
Financial & Operational Management : Manage budgets, enrolments, and resources effectively to ensure sustainable operations.
Parent & Community Engagement : Build strong relationships with families and the local community to promote a positive and inclusive environment.
Staff Recruitment & Development : Recruit, train, and support staff members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Health & Safety : Maintain a safe and compliant environment for children, staff, and visitors.
Curriculum Implementation : Oversee the planning and delivery of engaging, play-based learning programs.
What We Are Looking For
A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent, ACECQA-approved qualifications).
A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a leadership role within an early childhood setting .
Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF), Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), and Victorian regulations .
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
A commitment to creating a warm, inclusive, and high-quality learning environment for children and families.
Experience in staff management, financial oversight, and centre administration .
Current Working with Children Check, First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma Management certifications .
