The Opportunity:
McArthur is seeking an experienced HR Advisor, to assist our non-for-profit client across the next 3-4 months. Working in a small, collaborative team you will manage a variety of cases which may relate to employee relations, performance discussions, or coaching and empowerment of Leaders in the business.
For more than a century, our client has provided in home health and aged care services to multiple generations of Australians'. They are leaders and innovators in this sector, and ambitious in creating a better home care system for all of us.
This opportunity is located in a fantastic central CBD location, has a hybrid working arrangement of up to 4 days WFH from home each week, and has flexible working hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support, advice and coaching to managers, supervisors and employees in effective performance development activities and processes.
- Coach and inform managers, supervisors and employees regarding people management and workplace relations' initiatives.
- Provide effective expertise, support and advice to business leaders regarding industrial relations matters.
- Monitor and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the Industrial Relations environment to advise the organisation on any changes, recommend appropriate courses of action and amend and develop relevant policies and procedures.
- Review, develop, recommend and implement relevant policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment law and relevant legislation.
- Provide support to the Manager, Human Resources regarding award and agreement negotiations, industrial disputes and claims of unfair dismissal and/or breaches of employment conditions.
- Actively participate in research and development of people management and workplace relations initiatives to support business objectives.
- Analyse, create and evaluate positions within the organisation to facilitate understanding and accurate grading and recognition of roles within the organization.
Essential Criteria:
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources
- Working with Vulnerable Peoples Check
- Clear National Police Check.
- Current Victorian Driver's License.
