Job description:
Purpose of the Role
Work on Dewatering systems and water treatment network across the entire Snowy 2.0 project including engineering design, maintenance, procurement, construction, plants performance monitoring, revamping, retrofitting and troubleshooting.
Essential Criteria
• Hydraulic or Mechanical Uni Degree
• Holding a valid White Card. 3-4 year of Graduate program completed
• High knowledge's level of Microsoft office package.
• Advance knowledge and ability in the use of Auto-cad to develop and update Drawings and P&IDs
• Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment plants operation, maintenance and troubleshooting as well as chemicals used in different processes.
Desirable Criteria :
• Relevant technical postgraduate qualification
• A strong track record of continuous professional development (CPD)
• Previous site-based experience in any or a combination of the following sectors would be advantageous: o tunnelling Dewatering systems or Mining water treatment o Complex industrial installations o Critical Equipment maintenance scheduling
• Familiar with procurement and supply chain process.
• Experienced working within water quality regulator, and water criteria compliances (surface water or ocean discharge, especially to environmentally preserved areas)
• Knowledge/ familiarity with water and wastewater codes and standard (such as ADWG and WSA), as well as other legislative and governmental bodies' requirements such as EPA
Knowledge of process control instrumentation, more specifically online analysers
• Some hydraulic background would be advantageous, such as pipeline hydraulics, plumbing parts and accessories
• Some previous experience with chemical consumption forecast would be advantageous

Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities
• This role is FIFO/DIDO site-based and encompasses frequent driving to site locations throughout the project to support operations and perform site-based investigations.
• Directly reporting to the senior engineer, being capable of working independently within a small engineering team to support other team members in monitoring different treatment plants performance, investigating the exceedance, and proposing troubleshooting solutions
• Revise design documents such as BFDs, PFDs and P&ID diagrams.
• Improve, develop, and maintain the quality, order and inventory of laboratory operations.
• Historical data compilation, cleaning, and trendlines in Excel, as well as their interpretation
• May assist with basis of design, calculations, drafting, preparing reports, and some laboratory tests and analysis both in the office and in the field.
