This nation-building project will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Project Engineer to join our Capital Projects team. This role is responsible for providing project engineering and technical support for a suite of brownfield projects that will enable Snowy’s assets to meet long-term reliability and availability. You will also oversee a team of Electrical Project Engineers providing support and guidance throughout project cycles.Your key responsibilities will include:Ensure all engineering work adheres to ethical, professional, and regulatory standards.Facilitate collaboration between the electrical team and other disciplines to ensure smooth project execution.Develop, review, and ensure the accuracy, consistency, and compliance of engineering documentation.Monitor procurement, provision, and execution of equipment, materials, and services to align with design and project requirements.Witness and participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and commissioning activities.Assist in quality audits, risk reviews, design reviews, and Safety in Design studies to enhance project outcomes.Support procurement by preparing technical documents, responding to queries, and evaluating bids.Supervise engineers, mentor graduate engineers and students, as well as plan work rosters and assign tasks.Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders through effective and timely communication.Engage in training, stay updated on industry trends, and assist in reporting project progress, identifying, and implementing corrective actions.
We're looking for someone with:Tertiary qualification in electrical engineering satisfying the eligibility requirements for Corporate Membership of the Institution of Engineers Australia.A minimum of 8 years experience working on small to large Brownfield projects in a multidisciplinary environment.Experience in either power generation, power distribution or power transmission fields.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate with external and internal stakeholders.Demonstrated experience in providing leadership and support to other project engineers.
