The Belmore Hotel is a Maitland’s leading venue. Recently renovated setting the standard for customer experiences in the area. Operating a busy restaurant, excellent gaming facilities and pumping bar trade. The Role
We are looking for a Duty Manager to assist in managing the operations of the venue. This individual will understand the Hotel entertainment business, the importance of the offering to our local customers and the importance of first-class service. This individual will understand the importance of high personal and professional standards which accompany managing such a well-known venue in the Hunter Valley.
Reporting to the Hotel Licensee, you will lead your team through busy service periods ensuring a high level of customer service at all times. Coming from a strong hospitality background fostered around bar service, food service, gaming and Tab, your passion for providing a great product in a busy and sometimes pressured environment is always seen in your work. You always push to succeed in anything you attempt, and surpassing targets is your passion.
The successful applicant will possess:
- Proven success in hospitality management – food, beverage, entertainment and gaming focus.
- A minimum of 2 years previous management experience and strong knowledge in all aspects of running a busy venue.
- Extensive experience in a busy food orientated venue.
- Extensive background in a strong gaming orientated venue with proven results to show more.
- A drive and passion to be considered the best venue operator in an extremely competitive market.
- Current RSA & RCG certificates.
- Hands on approach to management with an engaging leadership style with the ability to manage, train and grow your team.
- A friendly, self-motivated personality with excellent people skills.
- A passion for the hospitality industry with the ability to create a positive and proactive working environment.
- An excellent understanding of licensing requirements and responsibilities.
- Strong reporting and analysis skills.
- Possess a strong customer focus, a passion for the hospitality industry and the ability to build solid working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- An interest in live music and entertainment.
- Possess knowledge of booking and building relationships with relevant entertainers including DJs, bands and soloists that appeal to the later night crowd.
- Experience developing a marketing and promotions plan to drive new and repeat business including website and social media.
- Previous experience developing policies and procedures for a venue.
- Strong compliance focus.
- The ability to build relationships with neighbours and other external stakeholders including Council, OLGR and Police.
