Join our Mental Health Alcohol & Other Drugs Branch Located in Herston on a permanent flexible full-time basis! You will Lead and manage complex projects and activities of significant scope and strategic importance within the Office of the Chief Psychiatrist in line with Queensland Health project management methodologies to ensure the delivery of timely and quality project outcomes.
The role
The purpose of this role is to undertake a lead role in implementing patient rights and quality improvement projects arising from Better Care Together, the five-year plan setting the strategic directions and priorities across the state-funded mental health, alcohol and other drug service system.
The successful person
You will have:
- Expert knowledge of the interpretation and requirements of the Mental Health Act 2016 and associated policy or the ability to rapidly acquire such knowledge.
- Substantial knowledge of national and state mental health policy and mental health service provision issues.
- High level project management skills including the ability to manage and evaluate projects, utilise relevant systems and effectively integrate related activities to achieve project deliverables and outcomes.
- High level interpersonal and written communication skills including the ability to consult, negotiate and manage stakeholder relationships.
