Systems Administrator - $120k + super - North Brisbane
Robert Half is partnering with a reputable, Australian-owned organization looking to expand its IT department with the addition of a Systems Administrator. In this role, you'll be working across the entire technology stack of the organization as part of a high-performing team that values collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a good sense of humor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, build, deployment, maintenance, and administration of IT infrastructure, including regular health checks, upgrades, new installations, and process improvement projects.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations, and handle escalations from the service desk.
- Drive continuous infrastructure improvement, ensuring systems are stable, scalable, and secure.
- Manage and maintain backups, disaster recovery plans, and system performance monitoring.
- Mentor and support junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices to promote a collaborative team culture.
- Document IT systems, configurations, and procedures to support operational continuity and knowledge sharing.
Key Requirements:
- Strong experience with VMware, Windows Server, Citrix, M365, FortiGate, Aruba, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
- Extensive experience with system administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Experience in delivering projects, making technical decisions, and thinking critically and strategically.
- Excellent communication skills, both with internal teams and external stakeholders.
