The Office of the Registrar-General (ORG) is responsible for administering land services and guaranteeing the system of land titling in South Australia. The Registrar-General performs this role by undertaking legal, policy and regulatory functions relating to the Real Property Act 1886 and other relevant legislation within the responsibility or the ORG.

The Role:
Working closely with Manager, Contracts and Compliance, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Compliance Officer to join our dedicated Office of the Registrar-General team to analyse, maintain and monitor appropriate controls for reporting the Service Provider's performance and contractual compliance.

This role reports directly to Manager, Contracts and Compliance and will see you responsible for:

  • Ensure the Service Provider has a sound understanding of its contractual obligations by effectively engaging and collaborating on specific components of the Land Services Agreement and Operations Manual with respect to the delivery of land titling services.
  • Analyse, identify and report on actual, potential or perceived risks and issues by regularly monitoring and reporting compliance by the Service Provider.
  • Provide advice to senior management and external stakeholders regarding current relevant developments and their potential implications
  • Support the Registrar-General's regulatory role by coordinating and providing specialist functions relating to the interpretation, provision and reporting of relevant data to internal and external agencies and LSSA as required.

About You:
To be successful in this position, you must be able to demonstrate experience across the following key capabilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively succinctly, and accurately, in writing and verbally, in a professional and tactful manner including successfully negotiate and resolve conflict.
  • Proven ability to deliver customer focused and strategically aligned services and practices using effective verbal and written communication to successfully engage stakeholders and negotiate complex matters.
  • High level interpersonal skills that demonstrate the ability to work effectively, and negotiate with, internal and external customers, stakeholders and the Service Provider.
  • Demonstrated experience in a compliance monitoring environment.

Desirable Qualification:
Tertiary qualifications in law, business, commerce, accountancy or related disciplines (desirable).

Special Conditions
Successful applicants may be required to obtain a satisfactory Department of Human Services Criminal History Check or National Police Check prior to employment. A renewal will be required every 3 years.

Remuneration:
ASO6 - $98,478 min - $104,165 max
