About the role
There are various vacancies for a coordinator role within different teams and divisions.
Coordinator – Community Legal Education and Training, Early Intervention Services (EIS) Division
The EIS Division develops and delivers community legal education programs and resources to assist priority client groups and identified stakeholders to build clients’ legal literacy via the Community Legal Education and Training Team. The Team is also responsible for developing and delivering professional legal training and resources to support legal practitioners’ practice skills.
This is a 12-month fixed term full time opportunity for an experienced coordinator. Previous experience in project management will be highly regarded. In this role you will support and work closely with the Managing Solicitor in providing effective coordination of the Community Legal Education and Training team, CLE program and professional training sessions, and various project management tasks. A key part of this role is building and maintaining strong stakeholder engagement relationships with our internal and external partners and assisting in the preparation of reports and briefs in conjunction with the Managing Solicitor. You will supervise and provide support to our administrative staff and work closely with the Systems Administrator to assist in the development and administration of training modules.
Coordinator – Family Law Division
Coordinators in the Family Law Division are required to undertake a range of tasks and responsibilities, including:
- Managing and coordinating specifically funded Family Law Division priority programs (which involves budgeting, staffing, making travel arrangements, monitoring spending, reporting).
- Managing and coordinating resources (including policies, manuals, precedents, templates and other written resources).
- Line management of staff.
- Communicating with clients and stakeholders (such as Court staff, solicitors, other agencies in the legal assistance sector).
- Representing the Family Law Division on specific working and other stakeholder groups.
- Coordinating training requirements and delivery across the Division; and
- Supporting management staff with various other duties as required.
About you

- Experience in the management of human, financial and technological resources and the methodologies used to create outstanding outcomes.
- The ability to lead and work in a team environment, acquire and impart knowledge, and employ critical thinking to strengthen service delivery.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to make sound decisions within tight timeframes while also supervising others.
- Well-developed interpersonal and organisational skills, resilience, client-centredness and an ability to build constructive relationships with others.
- A strong capacity to work well under pressure, both autonomously and as part of a team.

As this is a pool, vacancies may be offered on a full-time permanent or fixed-term basis. This selection process may also be used to fill other similar vacancies throughout our organisation that arise within the term of the pool. It is important to note that appointment to the pool is not a guarantee that you will be offered a term of employment.
