About the Department for Correctional Services

The Department employs approximately 2,000 staff and has responsibility for nine prisons and fifteen Community Correctional offices across the state. Our vision is for a safer community by protecting the public and reducing re-offending. Duties

The Training Partner reports to the Manager Training Delivery and is responsible for ensuring a strategic and collaborative approach in identifying and delivering relevant learning solutions and training based on business requirements.

Building relationships with sites and individuals will be a key focus of the role, to ensure the Learning Academy understands and responds appropriately to all training needs, including preparing annual training plans, assisting with training gaps analyses, prioritising training associated with compliance and risk mitigation, and monitoring achievement.

The Training Partner also has a role in the development and delivery of training solutions to meet the needs of Learning Academy clients as they arise.

Special Conditions

  • Section 47 of the Public Sector Act 2009 applies in conjunction with other provisions of the act and other applicable industrial entitlements.
  • The incumbent is required to satisfactorily complete a National Criminal History Check;
  • A current South Australian Driver's Licence is essential;
  • A flexible approach to working hours is required;
  • Some interstate and intrastate travel will be required which may necessitate overnight absences.

Requirements
Desirable: Correctional Practice qualifications or Business qualifications Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116)

ASO6 ($98,478 - $104,165pa)
