Our client provides centralised supply chain and procurement to Victoria’s public health service. They pride themselves on bringing the private sector's innovation, agility, and focus on commercial outcomes to their role of delivering the best-value equipment and services to Victoria’s Health Sector.
They are looking for a seasoned Head of Logistics, who brings to the table extensive experience in supply chain, strong people management and excellent customer engagement. This is a senior role where you will be responsible for operational management of two Distribution Centres in Derrimut and Dandenong. As our clients’ services and impact to Health Services expands, you will be responsible for driving strategic change, operational efficiencies, and value delivery to ensure that customers across Victoria benefit from state-wide supply chain and strategic procurement.
Your experience will be emphasised by a strong drive, exceptional engagement skills, solid customer focus, and deep history in solving difficult problems as simply as possible.
Key skills/experience required will include:
- Bachelor or post graduate Degree in Supply Chain (or other relevant additional qualification or extensive professional experience)
- 8+ years’ experience as a National Logistics or Operations Manager in a Retail, Pharmaceutical or FMCG environment, ideally with significant 3PL (Third Party Logistics) experience.
- Demonstrated commercial & financial acumen, with a proven track record of managing, developing, and delivering strategies, business opportunities, problem solving and change.
- Experience working within an area that has high regulatory and technical specialist requirements e.g., clinical, environmental engagement as core determinant of the commercial working environment is preferred, however not essential.
- Experience leading and managing teams with diverse experience within the core logistics industry, capable of talent identification, attraction and retention.
- Strong business / commercial / financial / strategic acumen with a value creation mindset.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with an ability to communicate clearly with a wide range of stakeholders, of varying levels, both internal and external to the organisation.
- Ability to act as a conduit between technical, operational, and functional workstreams, driving outcomes.
