About The Project:
Join a major rehabilitation project, where we’re committed to responsible mining and environmental rehabilitation on traditional land. Our goal is to restore the natural landscape while engaging with and respecting the heritage of the local communities.
Position Overview:
Reporting directly to the Project Manager the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful planning, design, and execution of civil engineering tasks related to the rehabilitation of Tier one company’s mine site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with client representatives and Cundaline’s senior management to discuss drawings, specifications and construction methodologies.
- Contribute to Project Schedules and update as required.
- Participate in CRAW or WRAC (Work Risk Assessments) to identify and close out corrective and preventative actions with knowledge about safety on site.
- Develop and maintain Quality Management Plan and Quality Management system as required for the project.
- Record any time delays variations and changes to the works scope of works.
- Schedule, plan and perform the work activities in an efficient manner.
- Conduct daily site walks, inspections and observations.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and provide recommendations.
- Administer reports to the client on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- Keep track of survey reports and the heat maps.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree qualified Civil Engineer or suitably qualified with civils experience.
- Previous bulk earthworks experience – preferred.
- A minimum of 3-5 years site experience within mining/construction environment.
- Full Australian Working Rights.
- Current C class Australian Driver’s License.
- Hold a Construction Induction Safety Certificate (White Card).
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong computer literacy – MS Office, AutoCAD and MS Projects, Excel reporting skills.
- Strong Problem-solving skills.
- Ability to write and contribute to JHAs and conduct take 5s.
- Ability to work unsupervised and in a small team.
