YOUR ROLE IN OUR FUTURE
The position is responsible for managing the team of procurement officers and coordinating the procurement, tendering and contract management activities as well as delivering procurement sourcing projects that achieve best value outcomes for Peter Mac. Work with the Director of Procurement in developing the Procurement Activity Plan (PAP). Oversee Health Share Victoria (HSV) outsourced procurement activities to ensure minimising risk and meeting Peter Mac's business objectives. This is a permanent ongoing role, 80 hours per fortnight, and reports to the Director of Procurement
Key Deliverables include:
- Act as 2IC to the Director of Procurement.
- Oversee all procurement and tendering actives undertaken by the team.
- Ensure complicance with the Peter Mac procurement policy and procedures.
- Support procurement team in day to day operations and during procurement activities.
- Stakeholder engagement and management, both internal and external.
Qualifications and desired experiance include:
- Leadership experience in procurement, sourcing or category management.
- Minimum 5 years experience in a senior procurement position.
- Extensive knowledge of purchasing, tendering, contract administration and contract management.
- Extensive knowledge of the processes for preparing, releasing and assessing public tenders.
- Extensive analytic skills and a proven track record in identifying commercial opportunities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to enable communication with staff, stakeholders and suppliers at all levels.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in a health service or equivalent public sector environment.
- Understanding of Health Share Victoria, State Purchasing Contracts and Buying for Victoria contracts, policies and processes.
- Experience in Oracle Financial Systems.
