About the opportunity:
In this senior role, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical services in paediatric speech pathology, ensuring high-quality assessment and intervention, particularly in complex cases. You will lead and mentor Grade 1 and Grade 2 Speech Pathologists, as well as supervise students to build the capacity of the team. A key aspect of your role will be to monitor and manage caseloads, waitlists, and service delivery models to ensure timely and effective support for children and their families. You will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing new programs that address the evolving needs of the community, while also driving quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to service coordination, promote best-practice care, and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
To be successful in this role, you will meet the following Selection Criteria:
- Bachelor or Masters of Speech Pathology
- Current membership with Speech Pathology Australia
- Minimum 7 years post-qualification experience
- Current first aid and CPR certificate
- Proven ability to train, supervise, and mentor staff and students
- Strong leadership skills with experience in program development and service innovation
- Passion for community health and improving outcomes for children and families
Essential Requirements

- Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Current Victorian Driver’s Licence
