The CompanyOur client is a reputable not-for-profit and training organisation providing vocational education and training to the Aboriginal community health sector. A strong advocate for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health in Victoria, they support 33 members in delivering culturally safe health and social services.
The Role
As the RTO Quality Assurance Officer, you will be responsible for implementing quality assurance practices to ensure that all documentation relating to training and assessment resources, policies and procedures are maintained to the desired level of quality. You will also be responsible for supporting relevant student administration activities.
Based in Collingwood, VIC, this is a full-time role with hybrid working arrangements offered. It is offered as a 2-year fixed-term contract (subject to funding).
Key Responsibilities
- Identify quality issues in student files and records to ensure that risk is managed appropriately
- Assist with monitoring the national regulators or state funding reporting requirements e.g. Student surveys, AVETMISS reporting and Quality Data Indicator reporting (ASQA)
- Carry out regular administrative activities to ensure the RTO complies with relevant regulations, legislations and funding body requirements
- Undertake internal and external reporting including but not limited to AVETMISS reports and NIAA Away from base reports
- Update traineeship students’ information on Epsilon
- Update student data via systems including VETtrak to track various activities
- Process withdrawals, deferrals, recommencements and transitions
- Experience working in a similar position, in an RTO environment
- Experience with VETtrak, or similar Student Management System
- Thorough understanding of Skills First funding and 2015 RTO Standards
- Demonstrated knowledge, understanding and commitment to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait islander peoples cultures and health (desirable)
- An understanding of LGBTQIASB+ issues and respect for diverse identities (desirable)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a wide range of people
- Self-motivated and demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and as an effective team member
