About the role

The People and Culture Division plays a key role in supporting AEMO, and our people to learn, lead and thrive as we navigate the energy future. In this role as HR Coordinator, you’ll report to the Manager- HR Shared Services and will be engaged in a key digital security initiative. You will assist with coordinating and supporting HR Shared Services, particularly around reporting and administration responsibilities. This 6-month fixed term contract, entry level role is designed for someone interested in building their experience in HR.

What you will be doing

  • Provide administrative and reporting support to the Senior HRBP, Resourcing Manager, HR Protective Security Advisor and wider P&C team to ensure personnel information on key projects are up to date and accurate.
  • Ensure secure and accurate retention of employee information and maintain relationships with key internal and external partners.
  • Assist with pre-employment eligibility and continuous suitability background checks for employees and contractors of AEMO.
  • Effectively apply end-to-end changes for employee movements, including but not limited to, approvals, system changes, notifications and filing.
  • Contribute to key processes, including onboarding, offboarding and employee movement.


What you will bring to the role

  • Experience in a similar role or compliance administration, delivering reports and creating communication materials.
  • A detail orientated team player with the ability to excel in a fast-paced evolving environment, always focused on delivering solutions.

  • Effectively communicate with a range of stakeholders across the business.
  • Experience in HR or related systems is desirable.
  • Due to the requirements of this role, you must be an Australian citizen with the ability to attain and maintain an appropriate level of national security clearance.
