We currently have an exciting opportunity for an NPD Project Manager to join our Marketing & Innovations team on a 12-Month Contract. You will be responsible to facilitate Frozen & Chilled initiatives going through the stage & gate process. They will support the wider PMO team through stage gate reporting, ensuring alignment between key stakeholders to help ensure projects are delivered on time and in full.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Project management of new products, product renovations, and optimisations ensuring they are delivered in full and on time
- Manages the project plan. Steers the project team to identify an aligned approach to deliver on the critical path, identification of constraints, contingencies and risk mitigations to achieve project objectives
- Seeks, identifies issues, and executes solutions to resolve commercialisation challenges in conjunction with NPD Project Teams
- Lead weekly NPD Project Team meetings for allocated projects
- Oversees and coordinates functional participation within the project team and contributions towards the project plans on allocated projects
- Escalates & communicates threats to project launch plans as required to management & stakeholders (Line Manager, Gate Keepers, Project Champions & other department heads as required)
- Ensures Stage & Gate processes are followed as per documented procedures by all project team members. Communicates and seeks approval on any deviation to process where required via Gatekeeper permission
- Contributes to product development process by conducting post-launch-reviews for the purpose of continuous learning, contributing to best practice development, & ensuring key learnings are applied to future processes and projects.
- Works collaboratively across the organisation to align project inputs, support and communication amongst all project stakeholders
- Manages administrative reporting documentation associated with the management of own NPD projects
- Ensure all project sites are up to date with timelines and action trackers
- Facilitates reporting where required to enable business wide insight on current project scope, timeline status of all projects. (Ensures NPD Masterlist is updated monthly on own projects status and provides reporting on total project portfolio progress)
You will have:
Strong project management and process management skills Microsoft Excel skills at an Intermediate level Proven ability to lead, influence and work well at all levels of an organization and in a cross functional team environment Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to explain operational and general product development issues to stakeholders without product development experience. A comprehensive understanding of all phases of the product development lifecycle Ability to collaborate with teams to manage development pathway that will limit risk and cost and optimize achieve speed to market Strong communication (written, verbal), presentation and documentation skills Ability to manage conflict and drive resolution Tracks and measures metrics that are designed to convey the health of individual projects, across the portfolio of proprietary projects Minimum 3 years’ experience in project management or new product development in food manufacturingWhat we can offer you:
