The Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity has become available for a driven individual to join our successful NSW Sales Department. Located in Wetherill Park, the primary purpose of the Technical Sales – Automation role is specifically aimed at increasing the revenue and growth of the WEG Automation business, achieved through direct engagement with customers and providing support to WEG sales staff (external & internal) and Business Partners (Distributors, O.E.M.’s, and Field Service Providers).
Reporting to the State Manager – NSW, the Technical Sales – Automation role assists with management of sales opportunities, order and product management tasks. These include analysis of technical specifications and company representation in meetings with engineering firms and end-users. The position has high administrative and technical content.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide technical support to internal and external customers relating to the use, application and operation of WEG Automation
- Deliver product knowledge training to internal and external customers
- Prepare and manage product information
- Liaise with the WEG factories on commercial and technical matters concerning offers and orders, the use and quality of WEG Automation
- Summarise technical specifications
- Handle inbound sales lead calls to convert calls into sales.
- Present WEG Automation products to current and potential customers in online or face to face settings
- Provide sales quotations, price and availability to Business Partners
About You
Experience:
- Relevant tertiary qualification OR 3-5 years of proficient knowledge and experience with automation.
- Demonstrated capability in technical sales, client relationship management, and delivering tailored technical solutions to meet customer needs.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
Skills:
- Communication: Ability to read, analyse, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write comprehensive and technical reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to critically analyse commercial contracts, from a legal standpoint, listing all necessary deviations to limit company exposure.
- Reasoning: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Advantageous:
- Business degree or diploma.
- Strong commercial background
- Previous experience as a sales engineer.
- Awareness of relevant IEC and Australian standards.
