How will I help?
Are you ready to lead and shape the future of risk management within the Westpac Group? Reporting directly to the National GM Working Capital, this pivotal role oversees the comprehensive risk management of our Invoice Finance and Trade Finance lending portfolios.
As the Head of Trade & Invoice Finance Risk and Operations, you will be instrumental in driving the training and development of our team, ensuring exceptional service delivery to clients, and maximizing the profitability of our portfolio.
Work with teams to ensure new lending meets standards. Review and recommend Credit Applications. Provide risk input for new customer lending requests. Join us and make a significant impact on our business and clients.
Key Accountabilities:
Minimising compliance risk, operational risk, and reputation risk within overall portfolio Comply with legislative and regulatory obligations and the banks operational, compliance and audit risk framework. Understand issues and opportunities facing business customers by interacting with network and working with customers to resolve issues. Ensuring the quality of service and support provided to customers is of the highest standard. Build strong stakeholder relations within the bank to ensure focus is to achieve win outcomes for the bank and the end customers Meet portfolio quality and bad debt targets. Ensuring appropriate action is taken on exit accounts or accounts at risk.

What do I need?
Proven leadership experience, with a focus on implementing and embedding change. Business lending background, ideally with a focus on Invoice Finance and/or Trade Finance Strong capacity for numerical and analytical thinking In-depth knowledge of legal, statutory, and regulatory frameworks related to insolvency, debt recovery, and Invoice Finance Comprehensive understanding of operational risk and compliance
